A boyfriend shirt is definitely one most of us own. And sometime last week, I got my hands a male button shirt and I knew exactly what do with it. Ideally, it’s supposed to be all 3 looks in one post but when I realized how bomb I looked in all 3 outfits, I knew I had to serve them in bits! lol
What I’m wearing;
- Top; Gift
- Bottom; DIY
- Bag; Thrifted
- Shoes; DIY
For the first look, I wanted something tomboyish- mind you, I was a tomboy in the earlier years of my life and a boyfriend is the best excuse to revisit that stage. Thing is, I could be a little extreme but I made it a point to keep this a little girly as well. Hence, the heels and skinny jeans. My shirt is over-sized, just how I like it but if you’re going for a full tomboy ‘effect’, I’d advise you pair your over-sized shirts with straight or mum jeans. Then finish up the look with a pair of sneakers.
Whereas, if you don’t want to go all in, pair your shirt with a more fitting bottom that flatters your figure, heels or flats will do just fine. I won’t suggest too many accessories for a tomboy look. A simple necklace or none at all. Then, a bracelet and some rings maybe. The cap is for that extra ‘Umph! – you know what I’m saying- it adds a certain ‘ je ne sais quoi’.. haha. So, feel free to throw on a cap if it works for you.
