I’ve always said that I’m not girly and I spent most of my teenage years trying to prove that. I just really disliked wearing dresses and walking in wedges. Even up to date, 8 out of 10 times, you’ll find me in jeans or trousers instead of dresses but lately I’m trying to wear more skirts and dresses, simply put- I’m trying to be more lady-like WITH THE WAY I DRESS and I felt this wrap dress is a good place to start.
In my opinion, wrap dresses are very versatile and you can get a fair share of wears from them. So, in the next week, I’ll share with you the 6 ways I’ll style this beautiful wrap dress. I hope you stick around.
- LOOK 1 – A DRESS
Look number 1 has definitely got to be wearing the wrap dress as the dress it is. To add my own twist, I wore it as an off-shoulder dress with a little slit. Pair that with a chunky necklace or choker to add more sass to your neckline. Complete the look with nice heels and a cute bag. I personally think this look is appropriate for a date night. I know I will wear this on a date.
- LOOK 2 – STREETSTYLE
Another way I’ll definitely style this dress is by wearing it as a cinched kimono. If you regularly visit this blog then you know I’ve fully accepted the corset trend BUT if you aren’t comfortable wearing a corset as outer wear, replace that with a thick belt instead. Then, a pair of jeans and flats(or heels) based on your preference. Streetstyle right there!
- LOOK 3 – A SKIRT
Oh! you didn’t think you could pull it off? Let me show you. Simply fold the wrap dress midway or to your desired length, then wear it as a wrap skirt. I wore my skirt with a white tee, my wedge and a basket bag. Since this outfit is simple, you can choose to accessorize heavily and still get away with it. But for me, I like to keep my style very effortless hence i chose to go light on the accessories.
I had a lot of fun styling this dress. Since, I didn’t want this post to be lengthy, I split it into 2. The second part on styling this dress will be up on here soon. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it. See you soon.
