You probably think you don’t have a problem with smelling good. I mean you use a deodorant, you even have a nice perfume or body splash to make it even better.
But what if I told you that you may be doing somethings that prevent you from smelling BETTER? Keyword, better! What if I told you smelling good doesn’t have to do with your perfume? YUP!
Here are a few things that may be preventing you from smelling better!
1. YOU DON’T SHOWER OFTEN
You’re bathing once a day. Carrying all the sweat, germs and bacteria from your activities through out the day right back to bed. Which aside being unhealthy, doesn’t entirely leave you smelling fresh. If you wish to drive away odor completely, even on those days you forget to use a deodorant or perfume then, you need to bath regularly.
2. YOU DON’T WASH YOUR HAIR REGULARLY
Just like bathing washing your hair is important. Have you ever sat close to someone with smelly hair? Especially braids that they’ve kept for so long? I bet you smelt it because the smell of their perfume or deodorant couldn’t cover up the smell.
This is to say that, no matter how much perfume you pour on yourself, if your hair smells bad, people will be able to smell it!
3. YOU FORGET THAT WHAT YOU EAT CAN AFFECT WHAT YOU SMELL LIKE
Foods like garlic can leave you smelling bad even after 24 hours. Same with alcohol and onions. So, take those in moderation. Garlic especially, has the ability to come through your pores and oh boy, will you smell badly.
4. IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT THE PERFUME
The soap you use, the lotion you use, even the detergent you use for your clothes can give you a signature scent. So, if you want to start paying more attention to your overall smell, check your lotion, creams, your soaps. Making a few tweaks can leave you smelling much better!
Ps: don’t pile up too many scents.
I hope you found these helpful. Are you a deodorant only or perfume person?
